Sprint 3 Reflections: SQL, Surprises, and Next Steps

I just wrapped up Sprint 3 of my data journey, and whew—my head is still processing everything!

Six whole weeks of learning about SQL! Now, I’ve been using SQL since I started programming, so I thought it would be a smooth ride. But I quickly realized there’s always more to learn. From complex queries to performance optimization and deeper data manipulation techniques, this sprint stretched me in the best way possible.

It was intense and packed, just like the previous sprints, but by the end I had gained a lot of knowledge. We did a lot of hands on practice with SQL Workbench and Jupyter. It reminded me that sometimes what we think we know still has deeper layers waiting to be explored.

Looking ahead, I’m really excited for the next sprint on Power BI—a chance to move from querying and cleaning data to actually bringing it to life through visuals and insights. I’m also considering supplementing my learning with some extra resources, especially from DataTalks, just to broaden my perspective even more.

This journey hasn’t been easy, but the growth is worth every bit of the challenge.
On to the next one—#doHardThings! 💪
